Ilmenau Nature Trail

Discover the diversity of geological features, fauna and flora around Ilmenau. Starting at the Ilmenau train station, the 13 km long circular trail leads you across the Ilmenau pond area (nature reserve), on to Ehrenberg, down to Grenzhammer, through Schortetal (biosphere reserve), up over Lindenberg, Flossberg, Herzerpromenade, on to Ritzebühler Teich and Lessingpark. At the train station Ilmenau Bad you have reached your destination. The course of the path is marked at 38 stations by location signs.
